The bi-annual TransQST General Assembly Meeting was hosted in a virtual format for the 3rd time on 12th and 13th of April 2021.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to showcasing how the project has impacted the field of toxicology by improving the understanding of the safety of medicines from different perspectives. Use cases and progress beyond the state-of-the-art were shown by the four organ work packages dedicated to liver, kidney, gastrointestinal tract and heart. Important advances in Database, Knowledge and Tool management, to ensure the continuity of the TransQST open science approach, were also presented and discussed.
The implementation and sustainability of the project outputs, both during the project lifetime and beyond TransQST, were the central topics of the second day, raising fruitful exchanges between the consortium members and helping to progress towards these goals.
One of the central aims towards the project end is to ensure successful dissemination of the project activities and results to different stakeholders. The importance of putting effective communication strategies in place to reach these objectives was actively discussed throughout the 2-day meeting.
