The European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) is Europe’s flagship institute for bioinformatics. The Institute manages worldwide biomolecular reference databases, including nucleic acid and protein sequences, macromolecular structures, chemicals, gene expression, proteomics, pathways and mathematical models of biological and biomedical processes. EMBL-EBI is the Coordinator of ELIXIR, the European infrastructure for data sharing in life sciences, and is contributing to multiple EU funded grants in the area of toxicology, Pharmacometric models and systems biology (e.g. HeCaTos, EU-ToxRisk, AgedBrainSYSBIO).
EMBL participates in the following IMI projects: DDMoRe, Open PHACTS and eTOX; also in the EU ProteomeExchange project
